I am still here. I just can't stay here for very long at a time. Every time I sign on, I am booted offline after about 4 or 5 minutes. This was happening on occasion before hurricane Ivan, but since returning home, it's happened every singe time that I sign on. I've looked into every possible cause that I can think of, and everything checks out okay. I am getting to the point, I want to pick up my computer and throw it out of a window. lol! If the problem is not soon resolved, I am going to shut down my AOL and my journal, permanently. I can't waste $23.90 a month. I don't really think it's necessarily an AOL issue, because I have the free version of Juno for backup and it does the same thing. Anyway, I wanted to let you all know that I've been stopping by your journals, one at a time. I only have time to read one entry, and then when I start to leave a comment, I get booted. I have managed to hurry a few comments before getting knocked off, but for the most part, I haven't been so lucky. I've tried to answer e-mail and the same thing happens. It's very frustrating. So please don't think that I've just stopped visiting ... It's a "technical thang" :)
I'll return If/When the problem is resolved.
In other news:: Stephen saw his neurologist today and all is well, but we are upping his meds from 25 mg to 100 mg a day for his seizures. [I really hate that we have to do that]

Okay I m glad your here. Have you tried setting your pc back to a time before it started doing that. I often go into Help and support after I go to start and Then go to system restore and set it back to atime before a problem started. It often works. Try that if not it has to be your pc if its happening on juno. Contact the pc plcae and see if htey cna fix it. I hate to loose you. I will pray for Stephen. Lori
I share your frustrations, although my boots were reduced when I switched to a different access number. Maybe the folks you are using had problems from Ivan. Hate to lose you and Stephen. Prayers and good wishes!

Have you called AOL about your problem? Maybe they can help.
Also, maybe it's something with the computer? Maybe you have a virus, or spyware or something? Do you scan for those regularly?
I hope you dont close down your journal!!! I would miss you!!!

How frustrating. You might try calling your phone company, too, in case it's a phone company issue, which sounds likely since it got worse after the hurricane.
I'm glad all is well with Stephen, and hope that the new dosage works out OK.
I can relate to the computer issues ... Ivan did a number on us, too, in Atlanta. It has been beyond frustrating just trying to get online, much less stay online. I hope your technical "thang" is resolved soon --- I would hate for you to have to cancel AOL. We would all miss you so very much if you were gone! Please know that you, Stephen, and all those you love are in my prayers :) ---Swirly

I hope AOL fixes things. I complained about them and they gave me two free months. Then I called to cancel, got two more free months. This went on for almost a year. Then...I discovered journals and stopped trying to quit. I'm such a sucker
Ohhh Mia! I miss you. I'm sorry to hear of your technical difficulties. Could it be a computer issue? Or is it a connection issue? We MUST get this resolved. We can't be without our Mia and Stephen!!! Ugh, sorry to hear Stephen's meds needed to be increased 4x his original dosage. That's scary. But ... whatever needs to be done for that angel. I can't believe I didn't leave a comment here!! For whatever reason, I thought I had. Hmmm.. weird. LOL I know about your connection prob through emails, so you know you have my sympathies. I really hope and pray you don't have to shut down your journal or leave AOL. Your presence is needed here!! You were practically my FIRST friend here in AOL and I would miss the hell out of you if you were gone. Is it the computer or the connection? Can someone - anyone - be called? I wish you lived closer. Hel can do wonders with a lagging connection. Dang. Sorry to hear about Stephen too.. but it's a step in a positive direction. The goal is clear, right? You have to get those seizures under control. So chin up, hon. LOVE YOU!
Oh Mia, I hope you can get your connection working soon. We had a problem like that once and it was caused by water getting in the phone lines. Hopefully the phone company can check it out for you. Hope Stephen is better now. Will email you about Orange Beach. I'm soooo depressed.....my family lost a condo. Good friend of our on Ono Island had extensive damage. It's a good thing to get out during the day. Mia I don't know anyone who works so long and hard for their child. You have to "be nice" to you. Need to be taking better care of you. I know you've heard this before. WE don't want to lose you either. I think it'll take some time to figure out (technical stuff), but don't give up on your friends. We've helped each other and will continue to keep lovin you. You are as wonderful as we believe! We'd miss you.
Ooooooooh, computer problems are the worst!! So frustrating.... Mine kept me off line for 6 weeks, I was going crazy. Maybe you could bring it to someone to have it looked at? Do you think it could be a virus?

Interesting that you are having the problem of your aol going off every five minutes. I have had similar problems. But my computer goes off every second, then turns back on, then off, then on. I decided to try and beat it at its own game. I put my mouse right by the mail icon. As soon as it said "Welcome," I touched the mail icon. Then Woola, I was on to stay. I know that doesn't make sense. But that is what happened. Now I am online doing about whatever I please. I only have one problem. I can't view my mail. Talk about strange.
