Please Allow Me To Brag

Two entries in one day? Well, I just couldn't help myself. You can see why. I'm beaming! Stephen loves to participate in art and music. This is his first art project this year. Not too shabby, eh? Of course, someone helped him with the scissors and glue, but I've watched and they let the children pretty much guide themselves in art with hand over hand assistance when needed.

I am slowly replacing all of my home decor with Stephen's originals. This baby is going in a frame.

Let me ask you~What do you see?

Meanwhile you might enjoy visiting the VSA Arts OF Alabama where you can meet some of Birmingham's very special and talented artists. I can't believe that I am just now finding out about this! This month's featured artist has an interesting story behind her art. There will be an auction soon, but I don't know all of the details yet. If I heard correct, I believe you can participate online!

This is a program I would like to have Stephen involved in someday.

Enjoy your weekend!

I see a man and woman, dancing. It looks like "the dip" to me.

You absolutely HAVE to find a way of promoting this kid's artwork!  This is amazing - really, really good.  He expresses himself so beautifully through his art.. it should really be showcased somewhere!  Wow!  Brag on, Momma!  That kid has talent!  :D

Your son has an amazing talent!  And that group sounds wonderful.  One of my contract jobs was with a group that provided athletic and cultural opportunities to kid with physical challenges, and the difference having an outlet for a latent talent made for these kids was incredible.

Hi Honey :)

I see two very romantic dancers. I have been imagining the Ballet lately, "Ondine"and "Giselle." I see a beautiful Black and White Ballet. Like the picture I have of JoAnna Berman in Giselle.

Take Care, Carly :0

If joyful abandon could be seen it would look like this art Stephen has made.  What a happy picture.

I love the art!  Stephen seems to have an eye for art.  This piece is very pleasing to the eye and the symmetry is very nice.  I'm not sure what I see but toward the bottom left it looks like angel wings.

I see kids, birds, rivers and many pathways to choose.  Lots of light and hope.  It's beautiful.  Way to go Stephen.  [i want one!]

Wow, that's beautiful!!
It's an abstracts dream.  He does have the gift, that's for sure.  I could see why you would be putting these up on your walls.   Georgous Stephen!!

Hmmm, what do I see.   I see a dogs head....I can see the outline of the chin dipping down to the left, against it neck.  I can also see a river with a fish in it, and a flower hanging over the edge, all the other negative space could be the lights reflection.

that's what I love about abstract....it can be anything the imagination lets it to be.
and yes, I see the dancing couple. :)

I honestly thought that was professional art until I read the entry, lol.
Very nice!  I can kind of see "the dip" like you said, but there is something else that it looks like to me.  It's on the tip of my toungue...can't quite name what it is...
