Friday Special Olympic Bowling

(if you are unable to view the album, click refresh key. maybe it'll work)

I apologize for so many photos. I take lots of pictures, and wanted to share every detail of our Friday event! Stephen did very well this year! This was his 2nd year to bowl in the Special Olympics. His two strongest areas are bowling and soccer. He doesn't care much for the other sports, so far... Still, his very favorite is soccer. I know this, because he did not cry yesterday when we left the bowling alley.  He pitched a conniption fit, the day we left the soccer games, in October.

Our weekend is supposed to be a rainy one. I know this, bc I noticed on the way home yesterday, the cows were all laying on the ground. And my arthritis is dealing me fits this morning. Don't laugh about the cows, predicting the weather, you learn a lot when you live next door to a cow pasture. :-P (really, it's a fact)

I hope you all have a safe and happy weekend! What are your plans?

the picture wouldn't show up . . .I'll try again later. I hope it works, I really want to see them. Cows are fun to run past too . .. . they look at you with that look of bewilderment.

Wow... the pictures were AWESOME!! You almost didn't need a text entry. The pictures told the whole story. I love the photo of the kiddo admiring the blue ribbon. LoL And the photo of him on the bus... and of the bus in your rearview [a mother always watches in her rearview, until they're out of sight.] Wonderful. Huge Congrats to Stephen for his 2nd place win. Auntie SloMo is soooo proud of him! :)

If you look close enough, that last picture tells the whole story.

The pictures are wonderful. I sure enjoyed seeing them. I'm really happy for Stephen and you. I hope you keep it up. Is there a bowling league that Stephen could join during the Special Olympics "Off Season"? I know there was a group in NJ that helped provide weekly games for the kids all year. Regards, Bill.

Mia--
the photos of Stephen are AWESOME, he looked like he was having SO MUCH FUN! I still remember S.O Bowling when I was little, the trophy from that is one of my favorite things! (Probably because it reminds me, at one time, i was NOT a complete klutz.) :-) Best wishes,

Anna

Mia, Great pics - never too many! What fun. Congrats to Stephen! :) Is it raining yet? It's actually pretty cold here today. Weekend plans? Home, cleaning, commenting, updating, out Saturday night for a drink and a bite. That's about it. I'd better hop-to - I just spent 2 hours on the phone! :P Love you!

Oh Mia - the whole composure of your pictures and narration are just great! We feel your watchful eye as it tunes in to sites of pleasure ... and may we add after that bus picture ... capturing one tired happy little boy! Our love and blessings Jesse and Sarah

You know....my granddad told me about the cows and the rain when I was a little girl. He was a farmer and he knew these things. =) Great entry, Mia! Give Stephen a big hug for me for getting that red ribbon!

Welcome back, Mia! I'm glad to see you're posting again. It was nice to see you at my journal.

Looks like Stephen had a grand time, glad to see and read about it. Hmm, so cows lay on the ground when it's gonna rain? Of course I don't have any near me around here, but that's info that might come handy later.

This weekend is the Superbowl! Gonna watch it with D. and some friends. What about you?
