Answers for Andrea's Friday five

:Andrea's Friday Five:

1. Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays?

We only have Cold weather, not snow. And I only enjoy it at the holidays.

2. What is your ideal holiday celebration? How, where, with whom would you celebrate to make things perfect?
Anywhere with my family. A few years ago, my parents rented a chalet in the mountains, and we had our 1st white Christmas! It was cool to sit in the hot tub on the deck, and watch the big flakes coming down. Stephen loved it too. To make things perfect, would be if everyone is healthy.

3. Do you do have any holiday traditions?
It’s becoming a tradition to have Christmas at my brother’s house, bc there is more room, & Martha Stewart can’t hold a candle to my SIL’s decorating! We eat before opening gifts and ALWAYS watch the movie, “A Christmas Story” We know everyone’s line by heart. J

4. Do you do anything to help the needy?
Yes, bc we both have known how it feels to be needy, and we want to pay it forward. Our church donates to the Jimmy Hale mission, year around (shelter for homeless), our offerings go to that mission. (My husband takes an elderly gentleman, who lives across the street to the Dr. bc he has no car-I think that is sweet)

5. What one gift would you like for yourself?
Peace.

I love your holiday tradition of watching A Christmas Story. Such a funny movie. I love watching It's A Wonderful Life when present wrapping. I can't wait until we move to a house that has a fireplace. I plan to crack open the window, huddle under a blankie and drink hot chocolate while watching Wonderful Life.

Or Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer (my favorite holiday cartoon).

LOL, babyshark-I LOVE that part! I think the movie wouldn't be near as good as it is, if not for the narrator, I love the way he describes things. The whole movie truly is a Christmas classic! I'd love to have y'all over for hot cocoa and pie, and talk! :sigh: that'd be cool!

Mia ~ would you believe I've never seen It's a Wonderful Life? I've only seen bits of the end...with the bell on the tree, blah blah blah... LOL But I sure know A Christmas Story [used to own it...left it with the young'n, I think]

Ahh, Freee you MUST see it! It's my 3rd favorite.

1. A Christmas Story
2. A Christmas Carol (A Charlse Dickens Classic (I love his stories! A tale of two cities, Oliver Twist, etc)
3. It's a Wonderful life (It will be on NBC, not sure of the day. 24th?)

They all make me cry. I'm goofy, I know. But, still I cry when Ralpy's dad tells him to look behind the tree and oh, the magic. The look in that little kids eyes. I can't help but cry. LOL!
